Gerald Thomas Finley, 86, of Finley, TN, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Gerald was born on January 12, 1937, in Finley, TN, to the late Thomas Allen and Mozella Pritchett Finley. He retired as CEO with LifeSafe Security Corporation, was a former accountant with Edenton Lamb Company and was a member of Finley United Methodist Church. He was a 1955 graduate of Dyersburg High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he was also a founding member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.Gerald grew up farming with his family and loved to ride horses. He enjoyed boating, skiing, walking the beach and baseball.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Finley of Finley, TN; daughter, Lisa Finley of Finley, TN; and three brothers, Gene Finley and wife, Joan, and Paul Finley, all of Finley, TN and Howard Finley (Sue) of Benton, KY.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Finley Logan.

Pallbearers will be David Logan, Steve Finley, Bryan Finley, Tim Lovelace, Todd Williams, Scott Williams and Kevin Cooper.
