Gerald Jones Bell's Obituary
Gerald Jones Bell, 63, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was a vocational instructor with the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerell Dawson and the Rev. Billy Gene Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Bell of Dyersburg; a son, Sam Bell and wife, Charlie Brooke Bell of Dyersburg; his mother, Sylvia Harris of Dyersburg; two sisters, Martha Sorrell of Dyersburg and Donna Mathis of Florida; a brother, Mike Jones of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bell and Cody Bell; and two step-grandchildren, Lanie McAlister and Matthew McAlister.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Bell; and a brother, Tommy Jones.
Pallbearers will be Steve Jones, Larry Hopper, Bill DeSpain, Robert Pardue, Jerry Biggers, Charles Stewart, Don Qualls and David Gooch.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1002, Dyersburg, TN 38025.
