Georgia Florene Whitson, 85, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

She was born on December 28, 1937, in Centerville, TN, to the late H.C. and Flora Chessor Windsor. Georgia was a homemaker and was a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ. She loved to cook and work in her garden. Georgia also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and doing word searches.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Long officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Survivors include her son, Gary Whitson (Kim Fowler Whitson) of Jackson, MO; a daughter, Tracy Whitson of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Betty Hayes of Tiptonville, TN; and a granddaughter, Mary Kate Whitson McKeever (Michael) of Jackson, MO.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Whitson; a sister, Nancy Sutherland; and two brothers, John Windsor and Charles Windsor.

Pallbearers will be Gary Whitson, Brent Long, Jerry Rodriquez, Tim Windsor and Michael McKeever.
