George Freeman Strawn's Obituary
George Freeman Strawn, 93, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
He worked in the maintenance department at Olberg Mfg. and was a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 12 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Rick Crawford officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors Saturday from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
He is survived by his two sons, Mack Strawn of Dyersburg and Mark Strawn of Medina; three grandchildren, Tony Strawn and Tracy Strawn both of Dyersburg, and Dakota Strawn of Medina; and three great-grandchildren, Carley Strawn and Adriana Strawn both of Dyersburg, and Blake Strawn of Jackson.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Strawn; his parents, George and Lexie Strawn; and a sister, Christine Heathcott French.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Williamson, David Parrish, Preston Heathcott, Johnny Lambert, Tony Strawn, Dakota Strawn, and Jerry Heathcott.
