George Forrest McIntosh, 85, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

George was born on February 25, 1937, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Basil and Rebecca Doss McIntosh. He was a retired employee with Brach Candy Company and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Russell Cozart officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McIntosh of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Jeff McIntosh of Kankakee, IL; two daughters, Sally Rone (Doug) and Laneta Cozart (Russell); a brother, Alfred "Bud" McIntosh of Iuka, MS; three sisters, Rosa Patterson of Ripley, TN, Jeanette Blansett and Shelia Sipes, both of Dyersburg, TN; five grandchildren, Kelly Richardson (Ben), Cassie Cozart, Magan Browning, Kyle Rone (Alicia) and Zachary Neil Rone (Tabitha); four great-grandchildren, David Richardson, Courtney Richardson, Aiden James Browning and Rylan Browning; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong best friend, Richard Wyrick.

Pallbearers will be Doug Rone, Kyle Rone, Zachary Rone, Chris Wilson, Steve Fussell and David Hollingsworth.
