Mr. George Anthony McCaig, age 62, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 at his home.  He was born June 13, 1958 to the late Lee & Rosie McCaig of Dyersburg TN.  He was a minister at the Church of Jesus Christ at 815 S. Main St. in Dyersburg, Pastored by Bro. Mickey Dodd.  He served thirteen years in the Tennessee National Guard as an M.P. and Supply Sgt.  He worked 23 years for the City of Dyersburg, some as Head of the Cemetery Department.  He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed fishing and was known to be a "Jack of All Trades, yet Master of None".

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Becky Leslie McCaig, two daughters, Dee Graves (Mark) and Jessi Lomeli (Ricky), his granddaughter, Mattie Erin Graves, his sisters, Linda McCaig, Stella Crumbly & Mary Tibbs and his brothers Jimmy & Dennis McCaig.  He and his brother, Danny McCaig both passed away together on Tuesday evening.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Rosie Eaton McCaig.

The family ask that friends and family gather at Dyer County Memorial Gardens on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. for a Graveside funeral service, conducted by Bro. Mickey Dodd.  They request that masks or coverings be worn during gatherings and services by all those attending.  Brian Wilson, Mark Wilson, Eric Gilbert and Skyler Floyd will serve as pallbearers.
