George Robert Leake, 88, of Obion, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

George was born on February 23, 1932, in Lake County, TN, to the late, Arthur and Effie Turner Leake. He was retired from Keneric and attended Minnick Bible Church. George loved time with his grandkids and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and loved drinking Coca-Cola. George was a fan of Ernest Tubb and Hank Williams, Sr. music.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Fremont Cemetery in Union City, TN. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his son, George Robert Leake, II and wife, Shiloh, of Troy, TN; a sister, Flo Dunavant of Dyersburg, TN; and three grandchildren, Kail Leake, Anna Frances Leake and Chess Leake.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hood Leake; a brother, Herbert Leake; and a half-brother, Paul York.
