Rev. George Thomas Brann, 98, of Tiptonville, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a Baptist Minister and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Rev. Brann had been a minister for 62 years at pastorates in Kentucky and Tennessee. He was a graduate of Mid-Continent Bible College.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Wilson Walley officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ann Jones and husband, Tommy, of Tiptonville and Julia Foster of Tiptonville; a son, James "Jimmy" Brann and wife, Debbie, of Wingo, KY; two grandchildren, Teresa Bennett and Kim Holt; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, Emily Lewis, Christian Lewis, Lindsay Henson, Taylor Pollock, Josh Henson, Zack Reed, Kelsey Pollock and Tyler Reed; and four step-grandchildren, Mike Jones, Michelle Jones, Dawn Lewis and Claudia Reed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Brann; his parents, George and Ola Page Brann; three brothers, John Brann, Littleton "Lit" Davis Brann and Claude West Brann; two sisters, Betty Canada and Martha Irvin; and a grandson, Tommy Poyner.
Pallbearers will Skipper Pierce, David Lovell, Bo Bentley, Bill McElyea, Larry Bennett and Tommy Spillman.
