Gary Lee McGill, 83, of Finley, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on March 26, 1942, in Dresden, TN to the late Ernest and Tommie Somers McGill. Gary was a self-employed farmer and was the former owner of Everette's Lake Grocery. He was a member of Finley Methodist Church and a Lay Minister with United Methodist Church. In 2000, he was inducted to the Tennessee State Bowling Hall of Fame.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy McElyea officiating. The McGill Family will receive visitors starting at 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his daughter, LeeAnn Murrell and husband, Michael, of Finley, TN; a grandson, Tyler Hallum and wife, Amanda; and a great-grandson, Waylon Hallum.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy McGill; and a son, Patrick McGill.

Honorary pallbearers will be the J.C. Lane Thursday Night Men's League.
