Gary Paul Hunter, 68, of the Bonicord community passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at his residence.

Gary was born on November 13, 1953, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, John and Autry Morgan Hunter. He was a retired warehouse employee for Dyersburg and Dyer Fabrics; and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Sorrells Chapel Cemetery with Mr. Jeff Jones officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patsy Kirby Hunter of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Mike Hunter of Paris, TN and Herman Hunter of Fowlkes, TN; and a sister, Maxine Whitehead of Milan, TN.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kinnick; and four brothers, Billy D. Hunter, Larry Joe Hunter, Gerald Hunter and Jimmy Don Hunter.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Craig, Lynn Parker, Michael Hunter, David Hunter, Greg Hunter and Billy W. Hunter. Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Parker.
