Gary Wayne Basham, 50, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 near Tiptonville.

He was born on February 12, 1967 in Union City, TN to the late Jimmy Cleo Basham and Kathleen White Basham. He was an engineer with Luhr Brothers, Inc. He was a member of Laborers' International Union of North America #663 and a member of the Operators Engineers Union. He was a member of Walnut Log Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Manuel Cemetery in Walnut Log, TN.

The Basham Family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Tiptonville.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Pierce Basham (Inky) of Tiptonville; his son, Zack Basham of Tiptonville; his daughter, Michelle Basham of Tiptonville; his sister, Carol Bolding, and husband Chris, of Paris, TN; and his grandchild, Cameron Basham of Tiptonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Van Cleave; his father-in-law, Richard Pierce; several aunts and uncles; and his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wade Yates, Rob Dunn, Oscar Allen, Jr., Rex White, Jr., Kurt Chisholm, and Ricky Richards. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Dunn, Matt Irvin, Chris Basham, Rex White, Sr., Oscar Allen, Sr., Ricky Grooms, Mike Jones, Chris Bolding, and Brandon Grooms.
