Gale Smith, 73, of Jackson, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Gale was born on August 4, 1948, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, James and Odene James Coker. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 12-12:45 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her niece, Karen Mallard (Adam) of Smyrna, TN; a granddaughter, Mallory Griggs Record (Will) of Jackson, TN; a step-daughter, Sherry Griggs of Jackson, TN; and a step-son, Joseph Smith of Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Smith; a son, Robert "Rab" H. Moore; and three sisters, Sherry F. Coker Smith, Shelia K. Coker Strieff and Cathy L. Coker.
