Frederick Wayne Stepp, 82, of Ridgely, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired as a warehouse supervisor for Kraft Foods, a Pentecostal, ordained minister of music, active in Reelfoot Rural Ministries, was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Stepp-by-Stepp gospel singers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron LevRon and the Rev. Michael Blake officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Johnson Stepp of Ridgely; three daughters, Donna Stepp of Mobile, Ala., Joey Smith of Eldorado, Ill., and Tina Bird of Thompsonville, Ill.; a son, Lewis Stepp of Lake in the Hills, Ill.; three stepsons, Steve Johnson and Derek Johnson, both of Ridgely, and Dale Johnson of Dyersburg; three sisters, Frances Rainwater, Mildred Volner and Shirley Powell, all of Jackson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Jordan Stepp; a son, Steven Stepp; and his parents, Mack and Olivia Stepp.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Klutts, Derek Johnson, Dale Johnson, Robert Bird, Nicholas Bird and Christopher Rego.
