Freddy Ray Autry, 65, of Tiptonville, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

He was a Sergeant Correctional Officer with Northwest Correctional Facility and a member of The Assembly of God Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Rose and Kevin Beasley officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wilson Autry of Tiptonville; six children, Cindy Dowland of Newbern, Teresa Webb of Finley, Kenny Ray Autry of Halls, Daniel Whitson of Tiptonville, Anthony Whitson of Hornbeak and Beth Scearce of Halls; one sister, Cloie Caviness of Newbern; four brothers, Gene Autry, Gerald Autry and Larry Autry, all of Newbern, and Darrell Autry of Shawtown; five grandchildren, Lynn Compton, Cody Compton, Amber Webb, Hannah Scearce and Garrett Gooch; and two great-grandchildren, Legend Compton and Chance Compton.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Caviness, Ricky Caviness, Randy Caviness, Bobby Dowland, Anthony Whitson, David Webb, Will Gunter and Jeremy Autry.
