Obituary

Frank Roark, 67, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired superintendent of Dyersburg Sanitation Department, attended Rehoboth United Methodist Church, a Mason, former sergeant with Dyersburg Police Department, former deputy with Dyer County Sheriff's Department, former staff sergeant with Tennessee Army National Guard and former reserve officer with the U.S. Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors today at 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Roark of Dyersburg; two daughters, Reba Collins and husband, Ronnie, and Shirley King and husband, Thomas, of all of Tatumville; a son, James Roark of Dyersburg; a sister, Bettny Jane Baucom and husband, Henry, of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Joe Roark Sr. and Frances Thompson Roark; and two brothers, C. Joe "Charles" Roark Jr. and William "Bill" Roark.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Baucom, Joel Baucom, Jimmy Watson, Justin Watson, Bobby Gallahaire, Robert Riggs, Raymond Cooper and John Mark Johnson.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Rehoboth United Methodist Church Building Fund, 225 Rehoboth Church Road, Newbern, TN 38059.
