Obituary

Willie Franklin "Frank" Burnett, 72, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Caromont Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.

He was the co-owner of Four Seasons Stitching and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Frank was involved with many community ministries. The generosity and love that he showed to everyone in his community and all over the world will live forever. The true joy of his life was the relationships with his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and his grandchildren, who called him "Daddy Frank". He treasured each special trip and activity that they shared. He graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1964. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan. He was a longtime real estate developer and broker. He was a retired SGT First Class with the Tennessee Army National Guard, where he served for 33 years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Crandall and the Rev. Wally Bumpas officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survived by the love of his life to whom he was married to for 50 years, Carolyn Jones Burnett of Dyersburg; a daughter, Leigh Ann Corley and husband, Jason, of Brentwood; a sister, Judy Burnett of Tigrett; two grandchildren, Jack Corley and Caroline Corley; and "a host of friends".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eules and Erma Brock Burnett.

Pallbearers will be Denton Jones, Gerald Reed, Kenneth Ladd, Barry Ladd, Jerry Brewer, James Baltimore, Shannon Walker and Jim Horner. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hamilton, Donald Gatlin, Jimmy Welch, Randy White, Quinten Miles, Billy Smith, Bill Wiggins, Bob White and Skipper Jeffries.

The family requests that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
