Frances "Billie" Wilene Ellis, 80 of Crawfordville, Florida passed away on December 3, 2021 at Eden Springs Nursing and Rehab Center in Crawfordville, FL.

She was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Reverend Wilton and Elizabeth (Potts) Smith. Billie moved to Florida 25 years ago from Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was a Registered Nurse and later an instructor for future LPN's. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's of Science of Nursing degree. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies VFW, a Lion's Club Member, and Food & Beverage Directory with the Holiday Inn University. She enjoyed bowling, hot-air ballooning, and traveling worldwide. Billie was married to her beloved husband, Steve Ellis. They had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary before his death in October of 2019.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Michael Dodd officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Jimmy Moore Ellis; and brothers, Gerald Smith, Gene Smith and Jerry Smith.

Survivors include her daughters, Oretta Gail Ellis of Dyersburg, TN, Jackie Ellis Elliot (Rich) of Crawfordville, FL and Sheila Ellis Watson (Danny) of Dyersburg, TN; grandchildren, Michael Breeding, Steven Grissom, Kimberly Sipes, Richard Hearn, Daniel Moore, Lindsay Pleasant, Shelby Pleasant, Rob Watson and Stuart Watson; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Erin, Riley, Gavin and Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hearn, Michael Breeding, Steven Grissom, Eugene Smith, Danny Watson and Rob Watson.
