Obituary

Felix Ray Reasons, 59, of Newbern, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a lab technician for Excel Polymers, an elder and member of Independent Free Holiness Church, served as pastor for Northwest Correctional Facility on Sunday mornings, served West Tennessee State Prison for 15 years as an evangelist, member of Christian Motorcyclist Association, he and other co-workers founded a They Dyersburg Disciples where he was Chaplin to Evangelize the streets of Dyersburg and to the Secular Motorcyclists.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith and Pastor Larry Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Reasons of Newbern; a daughter, Tiffany Jacobs and husband, Alan, of Dyersburg; his mother, Dorothy Reasons of Newbern; a brother, Dennis Reasons of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Chloe Reasons and Austin Jacobs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Brian Reasons; and his father, Doyle Ray Reasons.

Pallbearers will be Emmanuel Donis, Billy Giles, Kevin Thomas, Printice McMinn, Larry Pebbles, Corey Powell, James Schelegel and Marshall Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be James Vestal and Larry Bizzle.
