.Mrs. Maxie Fay Pruett, age 82, of Dyersburg passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at her residence in Dyersburg.

Mrs. Fay Pruett was born November 27, 1935 in Lauderdale County, Tennessee to the late John and Georgie Seratt.  She retired after many years of working at Colonial Rubber Co. in Dyersburg and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jackie Eli Pruett, a granddaughter, Amanda Pruett Polk and husband, Brien, and two great-grandsons, Henry and Thomas Polk, all of Dyersburg. She is also survived by her best friend of 78 years, Mrs. May Turnbow and her friend and neighbor, Diane Etheridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jonas Eli Pruett, a grandson, Brian Pruett, her brothers, Raymond, J.D., Clyde and Donald Seratt and sisters, Hazel Seratt Berg, Sue Seratt Brown,Daymond Seratt Reed and Lois Seratt.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Gerald Dawson with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family request that memorials in lieu of flowers be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
