Evelyn Frances Walden, 100, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 29th from 5:30 to 7:00 with a brief prayer service led by Deacon Bill Winston of Holy Angels Church.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 30th at 10:00 led by Father Robert Stellini at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Memphis. *

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Walden, of 43 years, her parents, two sisters, and a great-grandson.

She is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy Alley of Dyersburg, TN, Mary Case and Charlotte Poutre of Clearwater, FL, a brother Joseph S. Locke of Memphis, TN, 10 grandchildren, 22 great children, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Evelyn was a faithful and devoted Catholic her entire life. She was a former resident of the City of Memphis and belonged to several churches. She was active in many organizations including, Cenacle Retreat League, Diocesan Councils of Catholic Women and Ladies of Charity. Evelyn lived during the most eventful century of this world's history and touched many lives during her time here on Earth. She will be greatly missed by many. Especially by her great-grandson, Jonathan Alley who was her pride and joy for the last 20 years of her life.

Pallbearers will be Ben Alley, Ian Alley, Michael Alley, Wayne Alley, Barry Frazier and Stephen Stanionis. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Alley, Mike Alley, Jonathan Alley and Russell Case.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that any contributions or donations be made to the Dream Factory of Dyersburg, TN or the Villa Vianney Home for retired priest c/o The Catholic Center, 5825 Shelby Oaks Dr., Memphis, TN 38134-7316.

*All friends and family are welcome to attend graveside service but there will not be a guided procession.
