Evelyn Elvern Tirey's Obituary
Evelyn Elvern Tirey, 84, of Dyersburg, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Clark and Bro. Bobby Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Joan Tirey and Deborah Wheeler, both of Dyersburg; a son, James Tirey of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Jeff Tirey, Toby Hays, Shane Parnell and Jon Wheeler; five great-grandchildren, Chris Tirey, Samantha Tirey, Riley K. Parnell, Colton Hays and Caleb Hays; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Neal and Alexis Neal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Tirey; her parents, Robert and Dillie Braden Clark; a sister, Virgie Metcalf; three brothers, William Clark, Clinton Clark and Elby Clark; and a niece, Frances Voyles.
Pallbearers will be Shane Parnell, Jon Wheeler, Chris Tirey, Bill Dawson, Kenneth Tirey and Donnie Reagan.
