Evelyn Rankin's Obituary
Evelyn Rankin, 86, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired beautician and a member of Crockett Chapel Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Melinda Poole and husband, Brad, of Tiptonville; a son, Bobby Rankin and wife, Jan, of Union City; a sister, Marilyn Bargery Shumate of Tiptonville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Hart Rankin; and her parents, Robert and Bessie Dial Bargery.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Broglin, Norman Rhodes, Bradley Poole, Drew Cook and Mike Stockhoff. Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Rogers, Hale C. Tipton and Jerry Simmons.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Crockett Chapel Methodist Church.
