Errol David Beard, age 82, of Newbern, TN passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at West TN Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on August 12, 1939 in Grayson, KY to the late Orby Ray and Edythe Webb Beard. After graduating high school David joined the United States Navy where he was accepted into the United States Navy Academy and graduated in 1962 as a Lt. Junior Grade. After his active service in the Navy, David went to work as a electrical engineer for Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 35 years.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the columbarium at The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Webb Beard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald Webb Beard and Gary Ray Beard.

The family requests the memorials be directed to the First Christian Church, 301 South Washington St., East Prairie, MO 63845.
