Obituary

Captain Gerald Caton, 67, MV Twyla Luhr, of Ridgely, passed away Sunday at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was a Riverboat Captain for Luhr Brothers for thiry years. He was a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church, The love of his life was his family and his church. He also enjoyed fishing.

Services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 3pm at Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Mackie Prince and Mr. Terry Lynch. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30 pm Tuesday evening at Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Linda Bargery Caton of Ridgely, his four daughters Kim Caton Fowler and Meliah Crouch Weaks of Ridgely,Tn., Ashley Caton Smith of Hornbeak and Misty Caton Barker of Tiptonville, Tn, his two sisters Peggy Caton, of Union City, Tn and Gail Mayfield of Halls, Tn. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Brittany Shea Fowler, Lauren Christian Smith, Caton Elizabeth Barker, John Harris Barker, Jacob Davis Barker, Braeden Zane Goodman and two step-grandchildren Mason Weaks amd Maddox Weaks.

Pallbearers will be Donald Bargery, Jerry Douglas Bargery, Larry White, Gary White, Farron Stewart, and Roger Turnbo. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Blyze, Ricky Myers and Emily Miller.

Mr. Caton was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Hildred Caton and Virginia Ruth Stanfield Caton,
