Eric James Howard, 45, of Ripley, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence.

Eric was born on May 8, 1976, in St. Louis, MO. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Eric was in the Operation Iraqi Freedom and also served in Afghanistan. He loved video games, karaoke, magic cards and his favorite holiday was Halloween.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors starting at 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Sabrina Howard of Ripley, TN; a son, Alexander James Howard of Ripley, TN; three daughters, Ashley Nicole Wright (Nathan) of Ripley, TN, Angelique Elaine Howard (Dylan Green) of Atoka, TN and Anastasia Michelle Howard of Ripley, TN; a brother, Jeff Johnson of OK; two sisters, Donna Fronabarger of NY and Lisa; four grandchildren, Sierra Howard, Ryland Wright, Samantha Midkiff and Raylynn Green; and his step-father, Greg Blue.

Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Young Blue; a daughter, Samantha Nicole Howard; and a sister, Heather.
