Emma Katherine Walker, 97, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on December 28, 1927, in Dyer County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Jessie D. and Lota Brown Shaw. Emma was a dedicated homemaker who loved shopping, word puzzles, gardening, and working with her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing games, walking, and being with her family. Emma was a cherished member of The Sanctuary Pentecostal Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. David Wilkerson and Bro. Steve Walker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors the same day from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Louie Mike Walker (Cindy) of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Janie Carolyn Glover (Leonard) and Wanda Yvonne Coccia, all of Dyersburg, TN; a brother, Denny Shaw of Dickson, TN; a half-brother, Bobby Fair of Dyersburg, TN; three half-sisters, Ruby French of Union City, TN, Joyce Stockdale of Dyersburg, TN and Jeannie Moody of Troy, TN; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Quenton Walker; two sisters, Mary Alice Wright and Virginia Burger; two brothers, L.B. Shaw and Royce Shaw; and a half-brother, Wayne Fair.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Glover, Jared Walker, William Seleski, Nick Gentry, Thomas Gentry and Aaron Seleski.

Memorials may be directed to a church of the donor's choice.
