Emma Ruth Simpson, 80, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at AHC of Dyersburg.

Emma was born on January 28, 1940, in Gibson County, TN, to the late John S. and Annie Taylor Harper. She was a homemaker. Emma was a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ and was also a member of T.O.P.S.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Morris and Bro. Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Simpson Family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Billy Harold Simpson and Jeff Simpson, both of Dyersburg, TN; and a sister, Sandra Owsley of Polk, TN.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill "Peanut" Simpson; a sister, Carolyn Arnold; and a brother, Taylor Harper.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, Dale Woods, Pete Pleasant, Laddie Owens, Bill McBride and Rick Crawford.
