Eloise Pruitt George, 98, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Maple Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born on September 16, 1920, in Miston, TN, to the late Frank and Sadie Asbridge Pruitt. Eloise was a retired cafeteria worker for Dyersburg Middle School. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the choir.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. James Branscum officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Lou McGuire of Dyersburg and Carolyn Sudbury and husband, Buddy, of Memphis; a son, Mike George and wife, Kathy, of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. George; her son-in-law, Pug McGuire; three sisters, Hazel Long, Johnnie King and May Dell Brooks; and two brothers, Joe Pruitt and Bill Pruitt.

Pallbearers will be Jeff McGuire, Brian Sudbury, Keith Sudbury, Scott Sudbury, Chris Sudbury and Ethan George.
