Ellen Janice Reynolds Hayes, 81, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Ellen was born on March 15, 1941, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late, James and Mable Lorene Cantrell Reynolds. She was a homemaker and was a member of Phillippy Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Tiptonvville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Survivors include her son, Nicky Hayes, Sr. of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, June Gordon of Ridgely, TN; a brother, Tommy Reynolds of Sikeston, MO; and two grandchildren, Nicky Hayes, Jr. and J.J. Hayes.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hayes; a son, Timothy Wade Hayes; a sister, Linda Kay James; a brother, David Reynolds; and a half-brother, Billy Harrison.

Pallbearers will be Roger Gordon, Jerry Rodriquez, Robert Walley, Richard Hayes, Mark Sanford and Virgil Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will Winston Whitson and Tony Hayes.
