Ella Cobb Spencer, 89, of Ridgely, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at The Bridge at Ridgely.

She was a retired private sitter and a member of Ridgely Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her five grandchildren, Lisa Jacobs of Nesbit, MS., Penny Tavares of Fayetteville, GA., Freida Sexton of Hernando, MS., Cathi Kennedy and Candy Cook, both of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Spencer; a step-daughter, Juanita Graham; a step-son, Oneal Spencer; a grandson, Fred Tippitt, Jr.; and her parents, Eural R. and Ida Lock Cobb.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
