Ann is survived by her sons Charles Newhouse, of Ridgely and James Newhouse of Dyersburg, a stepson Rickie Tubbs of Cash, AR, her daughter Debbie Gooch of Newbern, a sister Reba Prince of Ridgely and her devoted friend Lorene Wilcox. She was greatly loved as “Granny-Annie” by her grandchildren; Jon Gooch, Jennie Newhouse, Laura Newhouse Smith, Nate Newhouse, Jennifer Newhouse, Angie Tubbs, Hunter Tubbs and Hallie Jane Newhouse and her seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dickie “Grassie” Tubbs, her brothers Malcolm, Jim and Johnny Carroll, her sisters Elizabeth Suarez, Dorothy Hill and Gracie Hamilton and her grandson Paul Gooch.
