Effie "Joyce" Ethridge formerly from Tiptonville entered the gates of heaven at 5:05 am on Sunday, November 22 with her daughters by her side.

Joyce was born in Ridgely, TN. on May 14, 1942 to Spencer and Effie Davis. In August 1957 she married Allen "Ray" Ethridge, and after 59 years of marriage he preceded her in death in September 2016.

Joyce was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Push, Tennessee. She had spent the last four years of her life in Indiana where she enjoyed her two daughters and many of her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Spencer and Effie Davis and brothers Ricky, Gary, and Jerry Davis, granddaughter Brandy Deevers, grandson Nathan Ethridge, and great granddaughter Lorelai Peterson.

Surviving are her three children: Stanley Ethridge, Sherry (Van) Bise, and Kim (Jim) McAdoo.

Other survivors include her grandchildren: Brian Ethridge, Chris Ethridge, Alisha Macke, Amie (Rob) Walter, Amanda (Jake) Bloomfield, Andy (Jessie) Bise, Daniel (Reagan) Deevers, Ashley (Mitch) Peterson, and Dillon McAdoo. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home on Sunday November 29th at 3:00 pm conducted by Bro. Carl Sutherland and family will hold visitation from 1:00 pm until service begins. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery.
