Obituary

Edward Lewis Luckett, 75, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his residence.

He was retired from Murray Guard, member of Southside Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and taught the Men's Adult Sunday School Class, retired Master Sergeant of the U.S. Army, where he served for 23 years and he was a Vietnam Veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Stephens and the Rev. Ronnie Wylie officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Nutbush, TN.

The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Clyde Luckett of Dyersburg; three daughters, Monica Lindquist and husband, Craig, of Deer Creek, MN, Christina Ladd of Sparta, WI and Alisha Coker of Newbern; two sons, Edward J. Luckett and wife, Sandra, of Springhill, LA and Anthony L. Luckett of Millington; three brothers, Don Luckett and George Wallace Luckett and wife, Joyce, all of Dyersburg and Jerry Lynn Luckett and wife, Dottie, of Millington; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Langley Luckett; his parents, Robert and Nannie Daniels Luckett; two sisters, Doris Vogt and Joyce Luckett; three brothers, Andrew Luckett, Robert Bruce Luckett, Jr. and Richard Luckett; and a granddaughter, Tonya Luckett.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Nelson, Trey Ladd, Nick Coker, Chad Luckett, Ricky Moore and Terry Akins, Jr.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Dyer County Community Cancer Fund.
