Edward Miller Gilbert's Obituary
Edward Miller Gilbert, 65, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired quality control inspector for Royal Guard. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ at 815 South Main Street, where he was a minister there at the church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ with Bro. Mickey Dodd and Bishop Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Leslie Gilbert of Dyersburg; three daughters, Amber Gilbert of Dyersburg, Katherine Gilbert of New Mexico and Savannah Gilbert of Colorado; a son, Eric Gilbert and wife, Tabatha, of Dyersburg; a sister, Glenda June Gilbert of Dyersburg; a granddaughter, Judi-Kaye Justice; and two he thought of as children, Harvey Justice III and Mindy Justice.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Gilbert.
Pallbearers will be Bill Lee, Mike Williams, Phillip McGuire, Aubrey Leake, John Dodd and Sammy McGuire. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Harris, Stephen Leake and Brian Wilson.
Any donations for the Gilbert funeral may be directed to the family.
