Edward Odelle Barnes, 76, of Ridgely, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at The Bridge At Ridgely.
He was a retired carpenter with Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 45 years, member of Abundant Life Fellowship in Ridgely and was a wood craftsman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his three daughters, Carra Lynn Bouchard of Oklahoma, Robyn Lynn Smith of Ridgely and Ashley Anne Barnes of Tiptonville; a son, Thomas Edward Barnes of California; two sisters, Modean Talkington of Ridgely and Cindi Beymer of Arizona; two brothers, James "Dezzie" Barnes of Ridgely and Jody Barnes of Niles, MI; and six grandchildren, William Bouchard, Bonnie Bouchard, Hayden Smith, Tyler Smith, Haylee Smith and Hannah Blackburn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Richardson Barnes; and his parents, Lenard and Mable Traughber Barnes.
Pallbearers will be Larry Anquetil, Jim Brandau, Jimmy Brandau, Mark Stabenaw, Chris Beymer and O.V. Fowler, Jr.
