Edith H. Estes' Obituary
Edith H. Estes, 84, of Kernersville, NC, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, August 8, 2011 in Kernersville, NC.
She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Kernersville and a former member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg. She retired from West Memphis Federal Savings and Loan when her first grandchild was born.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Willard officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors after the service at First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Estes of Kernersville, NC.; a daughter, Myra Estes Willard and husband, Mike, of Kernersville, NC.; four grandchildren, Melissa Edwards and husband, Neil, of Kernersville, NC., Megan Sargalis and husband, Matt, of Manassas, VA., Jacob Estes and friend, Jennifer, of Little Rock, AR. and Maggie Estes of Little Rock; and two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Kate Edwards and Jackson Estes.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael W. Estes; her parents, William Frank and Georgie Nichols Hopper; three sisters; and four brothers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Main Street Baptist Church Mission Fund, 126 South Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
