Edith Jane Colvin, 90, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Oakwood Community Living Center.

She was born on September 23, 1932, in Muskegon, MI, to the late Russell and Helen Bennett Spring. Edith was a retired librarian with McIver's Grant Public Library and was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and playing Scrabble with her family members and friends.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Rehoboth Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her two daughters-in-law, Janet Colvin and Joan Moody, both of Dyersburg, TN; four grandchildren, Kelly Colvin, Bryan Ham, Krista Ham and Chris Colvin; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Ham, Kelsey Colvin, Marleigh Grant and Jordan Ham.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Colvin, Sr.; four sons, Ronnie Colvin, Jimmy Colvin, Russell Colvin and Mark Colvin; her daughter, Susan Johnson; an infant daughter; two sisters, Jean Spring and Ruth Spring; and a grandson, Kevin Colvin.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
