Edgar Allen Tippit, 44, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his residence.
Allen was born on January 30, 1975, in Dyersburg, TN, to Howard and Susan Yates Tippit. He was the owner of Tippit Lawn Care Service and was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church. Allen was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved riding his motorcycle with friends. He was truly a servant to others and to the Lord and loved his family dearly.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Tippit Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Richardson Tippit of Ridgely, TN; two daughters, Katherine Tippit Huitt and husband, Jake, of Friendship, TN and Sara Tippit Stephenson and husband, Brandon, of Union City, TN; his parents, Howard and Susan Tippit, of Ridgely, TN; a brother, Kelly Tippit and wife, Alicia, of Hornbeak, TN; four nephews, Matthew Tippit, Jeffrey Beasley, Bryce Beasley and Louis Waterbury; five nieces, Jessica Gardner, Kelly Gardner, Brooklynn Robbins, Courtney Cauthen and Caitlin Dunnam; one aunt, Mary Lynn Yates Moore; and two uncles, Steve Yates and wife, Christine, and Tommy Stubbs.
He was preceded in death by his two aunts, Virginia Yates Stubbs and Shirley Yates Smith; and three uncles, Eugene Tippit, Don Tippit and Dale Tippit.
Pallbearers will be Josh Barnes, David Hammer, Kelly Bartlett, Brad Eddlemon, Kent Roberson and Earl Scotty Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cotton Brewer, Tim Hayes, Burt Tragesser and Karl Callens.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
