Earnest Hamilton Cogburn's Obituary
Earnest Hamilton Cogburn, 86, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired sales representative for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Earnest was a member of First Christian Church and a member of VFW.
A private family graveside service will be held.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Rice Cogburn of Dyersburg; two daughters, Barbara Cogburn Palmer and husband, Larry, of Dyersburg and Patricia Cogburn Ezell and husband, S.A. of Charlotte, N.C.; and a great-granddaughter, Brandilyn Reavis.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Cogburn; his parents, Horace and Ruth Cook Cogburn; his granddaughter, Sheri Reavis; one sister; and two brothers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
