Earl J. Stanford's Obituary
Earl J. Stanford, 76, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
He was born on May 17, 1940 in Decaturville, TN to the late W.B. Stanford and the late Annie Martha Detric Stanford. Earl was a retired veteran from the U.S. Navy. He had also served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, with over 20 years of service.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Survivors include his brother, Luther Stanford of Finley; two nieces, Teresa Jackson of Dyersburg and Melissa Brooks of Finley; and a nephew, James "Bubba" Stanford of Finley.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Bradshaw; two brothers, Tommy Stanford and James W. Stanford; and a nephew, Jimmy Stanford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society, 1120 East Court Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
