Obituary

Earl Markham, 85, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence.

He was retired from Dyersburg Fabrics and was a farmer. Mr. Earl was a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ for 48 years, where he served as a Deacon and song leader.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Frye, Bro. Novis Fisher and Bro. Tom Eison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jeanette Markham Hannah of Dyersburg and Rachel Jennings of Lafayette, IN; a son, Joe Markham and wife, Dana, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Lynette Hollandsworth of Dyersburg,  and Allie Markham of Tampa, FL and Jarod Markham of Rainbow City, AL; their mother, Mary Markham of Rainbow City, AL; three step-grandchildren, Darryl Walsh of Chevy Chase, MD, William Conway and James Conway, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marrion Bearden Markham; a daughter, Shelby Markham Palmer; a son, Kenneth Larry Markham; his parents, Gaither and Effie Azlin Markham; a sister, Ora Lee Williams; and two brothers, Elbert Markham and Finis Markham.

Pallbearers will be Jarod Markham, Bill Markham, Donald Markham, Allen Cook, Larry Bell, Randy Hoffman and Steve Kelley.
