Douglas Ray Seaton, age 88, of Finley, TN, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Doug was born on September 19, 1932, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late J.W. and Mattie Horner Seaton. He was married to Joyce Williams Seaton for 68 years and was a charter member of the Junction Church of God, where he was a devoted member, Sunday School Teacher and loved his church family. Doug was a licensed barber at Big Boy Junction, was a gourmet route salesman and worked at Oldberg for 21 years. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family. Doug proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Brandon Gates officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Williams Seaton of Finley, TN; sons, Tim Seaton of Finley, TN and Todd Seaton of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Lori Via and his right-hand son-in-law, Ricky Via of Dyersburg, TN; granddaughters Crystal Seaton Wilson (Mason) of Collierville, TN and Ashley Via Rogers (Heath) of Dyersburg, TN; and seven beloved great-grandchildren, Maggie Wilson, Keller Wilson, Macie James Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Farrah Rogers, Will Rogers, and Wyatt Rogers.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brothers Ed Seaton, Leon Seaton; and twin sister, Dorothy "Dot" Seaton Williamson.

Pallbearers will be Mike White, Don Smith, Heath Rogers, Barry Stanley, Randy Brock and Ricky Via.
