Douglas Wayne Runions, 74, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at AHC Healthcare Dyersburg.

Douglas was born on January 24, 1946, in Hustsburg, TN, to the late William and Hattie Crafton Runions. He was a retired diesel mechanic with Wynnburg Tractor Company. Douglas was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville and was also a member of the Tiptonville Senior Citizens Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with the Rev. John Troutman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Runions Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville.

Survivors include his son, Terry Runions of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Lageania Todd of Dyersburg, TN; a brother, Jimmy Runions (Betty) of Bruceton, TN; two sisters, Norma Reynolds of Tiptonville, TN and Ginny Holler of Peru, IN; three grandchildren, Tracy Pearson (Chris), J.T. Todd and Caitlin Runions; and four great-grandchildren, Christian Todd, Zoey Todd, Ava Pearson and Emma Pearson.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gean Poyner Runions; and two brothers, Nelson Runions and Charles Runions.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Turnbow, Johnny Reynolds, Michael Reynolds, Brandon Poyner, Jeremy Poyner and Chris Pearson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Runions and Jerry Poyner.
