Obituary

Dot Williamson, a long-time resident of the Finley area, died Sunday the 29th of July at Dyersburg Manor Rehabilitation Center.

Affectionately called "Miss Dot", she was known as a kind, loving, and compassionate person with a wonderful smile for everyone.

She made a life-long career of care-giving. She began her career as a surgical nurse at Parkview Hospital. When Sylvania opened in Dyersburg, she made a career shift to Quality Control. When Sylvania closed she worked first in child care for several years before returning to elderly care-giving.

Since retiring in 2010, "Miss Dot" has enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Finley Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Halliburton officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Williamson, of Finley; two children Pam Daugherty Stanley and husband Barry of Dyersburg; Barry Daugherty of Erin TN; two granddaughters Misty Stanley Kennedy and husband Kevin of Columbia TN; Stephanie Stanley Perdue and husband Garon of Dyersburg TN; and four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Cade, and Madelyn Kennedy and Jaxon Perdue who brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her twin brother Doug Seaton and wife Joyce of Finley who she enjoyed spending time and socializing with; six nephews, Cecil, Charles, Jim, David, Tim, and Todd Seaton; one niece Lori Seaton Via.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Mattie Seaton, and two brothers, Ed and Leon Seaton.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and grandsons; Charles Seaton, David Seaton, Todd Seaton, Ricky Via, Kevin Kennedy, and Garon Perdue. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Seaton, Jim Seaton, Tim Seaton, Cade Kennedy, and Jaxon Perdue.
