Dorris J. Claunch's Obituary
Dorris J. Claunch, 75, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Bells Nursing Home.
She was a retired office manager for Claunch Construction, and a member of First Baptist Church since 1974, where she taught the 4 year old Sunday School Class and a choir member.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Claunch of Dyersburg; a son, Barney Ray Claunch of Puryear; two sisters, Diane Stewart and husband, Eddie, of Knoxville and Brenda Moorehead of Nashville; a grandson, Jacob Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Deloria Luttrell Leachman; and two brothers, Robert Leachman and Loy Leachman.
Pallbearers are Rodney Henry, Bill Jones, Lewis Norman, Rusty Norville, Howard Guthrie, and Gerald Newbill.
The family requests that memorials be directed to First Baptist Church.
