Dorothy Marie Wells Coons' Obituary
Dorothy Marie Wells Coons, 84, from the Dyersburg area, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Dot was a homemaker. She was a member of The Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
The family will receive visitors from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles Coons of Dyersburg; two daughters, Jo Ann Cummins and husband, Leon, of Dyersburg and Linda Burgan and husband, Jack, of Alpharetta, GA; two sons, Jerry Charley and wife, Susan, and Darrell Coons, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Margie Bobo of Paris and Tillie Jones of Finley; a brother, Paul Wells of Dyersburg; and her three lucky grandchildren, Thomas Lane Cummins, Wade Burgan and Jacklyn Marie Burgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewey and Nellie "Beadie" Wells; a sister, Effie Carper; and a brother, Jay Wells.
The family requests that memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
