Dorothy H. Rhoades, 67, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, March 29, 2009 at her residence.
She was retired as a waitress for Lakeview Dining Room, a member of Crocketts Chapel United Methodist Church, and president of United Methodist Women.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Crocketts Chapel United Methodist Church near Tiptonville with the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 5 p.m. today at the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Penny Simmons of Tiptonville; a son, Tony Rhoades of Tiptonville; two sisters, Janice Matheny and Sue Hurst, both of Tiptonville; and a grandchild, Dustin Simmons of Tiptonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Leonard Hurst and Hattie Miller Hurst.
Pallbearers will be Glen Rogers, Todd Rogers, Brent Rogers, Keith Bates, Joseph Miller and Jimmy Simmons.
