Dorothy Carolyn Potter, 61, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

A Loving mother and wife, she was an avid community volunteer and a member of Northside Church of Christ.

She is survived by her mother, Francis Marie Stewart, of Newbern; her husband of 38 years, Larry W. Potter of Wichita, KS; a son, Warren Stewart Potter and wife, Heather, of Wichita, KS; a daughter, Jennifer Potter Cheatham and husband, Jim, of Dyersburg; one grand-daughter, Braylee Jay Potter; six brothers; two sisters; many nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Manuel Stewart and a sister, Margie Jones.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Newbern, conducted by Pastor Jimmy Jackson, Bobby and Steven Stewart. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Stewart, Noah Stewart, Wade Stewart, Jeff Stewart, Doug Weatherly and Zack Young.

The family request that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Northside Church of Christ, Wichita Ks. "Know Your Bible" program.
