Dorothy Jean Camp, 88, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her residence.
She was a retired school teacher for Dyersburg City School System and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Bethel College in McKenzie with a Bachelors Degree and a graduate of Memphis State University, where she received her Master's Degree. She was a member of Dyersburg Womens Club and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Parks Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Elayne Sanders and husband, Larry, of Flower Mound, TX; a son, Phillip Camp and wife, Shirley, of Flower Mound, TX; three grandchildren, Alex Camp of Lewisville, TX, Laura Sanders of Houston, TX and Kevin Sanders of Flower Mound, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Logan Sanders, Lucas Sanders and Laden Sanders, all of Flower Mound, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Camp, Jr.; a daughter, Debra Jean Camp; her parents, B.I. and Elizabeth Montgomery Mauldin; and two sisters, Fay Dickinson and Marjorie Rose.
