Dorothy Mae Brigance Powell, 94, of New Baltimore, MI, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born on April 17, 1918 to the late Allie and Dollie Horner Brigance of Bogota.
She was a retired factory worker for TRW Automotive Supplier, where she worked for 40 years and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Roseville, MI.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two sons, Philip A. Powell and wife, Jan, of Bolivar, MO and Timothy K. Powell and wife, Lan, of New Baltimore, MI; seven grandchildren, Jason Powell, Rebecca Powell, Melissa Powell, Kimberly Paskow, Melissa Campeau, Timothy L. Powell and Jennifer Powell; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylina Tedesco, Timothy Korber, Teresa Ceballos and Julius Ceballos.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gus W. Powell; and three sisters, Ora Lee Rapp, Gladys L. Littlejohn and Betty J. Brigance Ford.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Powell, Philip Powell, Timothy L. Powell, Jere Powell, David Paskow and John Ingersoll.
